September 26, 2025 Field Brief
September 26th, 2025
*New* SUPRT
Today's Field Brief shares updates and reminders for service providers who collect and report data for the State Opioid and Stimulant Response grants (SOS 3.0 and 4.0).
Reporting
The end of year PPR and Quarter 4 SOR/TOR reporting forms are now available (resources for reporting can be found here: SOS Quarterly Reporting | Ohio SOS Evaluation). Each organization directly funded by OhioMHAS is required to complete both the PPR and SOR/TOR reports. The deadline to submit responses is Monday, October 13, 2025.
Final push: All collected GPRA interview data must be entered into iPortal before 3 PM Eastern Time, Monday September 29, 2025.
All GPRA data that has been collected needs to be entered into iPortal by no later than 3 PM, Monday September 29, 2025. The system will be closed after that deadline.
Discharging Clients
• All SOS 3.0/NCE clients need to be discharged and have their GPRA discharge entered in iPortal by no later than 3 PM, September 29, 2025.
• If an SOS 3.0/NCE client receives services under SOS 4.0, they need to be discharged from SOS 3.0/NCE, and a new intake collected. If this interview occurs before September 29 use the GPRA tool.
• For SOS 4.0, only discharge existing clients who have either completed services or who have not received services due to lost contact for 30 days.
Data Collection
The new SUPRT will replace the GPRA data collection tool. SAMHSA has shared preliminary versions of the SUPRT data collection tools, which can be found on the Ohio SOS Evaluation Resources webpage. Please note: SAMHSA has not issued guidance regarding administration of the SUPRT tools, including timing, eligibility, transition from GPRA to SUPRT for follow-up interviews, etc.
To stay up to date on implementing the new SUPRT tool, all SOS 4.0 grantees should:
1. Add the SOSEval@osumc.edu email address to your contacts.
2. Bookmark and check the SOS evaluation website: www.SOSevaluation.org.
3. Share the sign-up form for the news brief with colleagues who may also want to stay up to date on SOS news.
Please reach out to the Ohio SOS Evaluation team with any data collection questions at SOSEval@osumc.edu. If you are no longer affiliated with SOS 3.0 or 4.0 and should be removed from this email distribution, please let us know.
